Description

The Job Shadowing Developer at RIWC builds and maintains partnerships with local employers to create job shadowing opportunities for job seekers. This role involves matching job seekers with employers for hands-on learning, providing support throughout the process, and ensuring successful placements. It also includes outreach, coordination, and data management to achieve positive outcomes like job placements and skill development, supporting workforce growth and community development.

Responsibilities:
Build relationships with employers and develop tailored job shadowing programs for different industries
Promote job shadowing to employers and encourage their participation
Match job seekers with employers based on skills, interests, and career goals
Coordinate job shadowing experiences, ensuring smooth logistics and communication
Align placements with employment and workforce development goals
Guide employers in structuring job shadowing experiences and help assess and mentor potential future candidates
Work with job coaches and counselors to integrate shadowing into career plans
Track job seeker progress and provide feedback on placements
Prepare job seekers for job shadowing to boost employability and communication, and provide post-shadowing support for employment transitions
Maintain records of placements, feedback, and outcomes, and track job shadowing success, including employment transitions
Attend networking events and job fairs to promote the program and build partnerships

Qualifications:
Bachelors degree and 1-2 years of experience with diverse student populations
Knowledge of Saskatchewan labor market and Employment Standards
Understanding of multi-cultural values and perspectives
Proficient in computer software programs
Knowledge of career counseling and assessment
Preferred experience in employment services, job development, or HR
