Description

The Lands Branch of the Ministry of Agriculture has a challenging opportunity for a highly motivated and organized individual to provide office support in a fast-paced environment. Our candidate of choice will be a flexible and positive individual who enjoys challenges with diverse job responsibilities.  

The successful candidate will assist staff in day-to-day office support. You will be required to manage the branch email inbox, receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail, and manage the payment of invoices. You will respond to inquiries made in person or by telephone from a variety of government agencies, clients and the general public.

Our candidate of choice will be a strong team player, a self-starter and have strong computer skills to create accurate documents using a variety of software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint Online. You will have knowledge of office management practices and procedures. You will require the ability to accurately complete multiple tasks with frequent interruptions and tight deadlines with multiple reporting relationships. The candidate will bring strong communication skills, both verbally and written to respond to inquiries from the public and other government branches and ministries.
