Senior Pharmaceutical Policy and Program Consultant
The Drug Plan and Extended Benefits Branch, Ministry of Health, is seeking an experienced pharmacists for the role of Senior Pharmaceutical Policy and Program Consultant, Professional Practice Unit.
Reporting to the Director, Professional Practice, you will apply your leadership and technical knowledge to undertake the development, implementation, management and evaluation of Ministry pharmacy programs, policies and initiatives. You will be able to work independently, be confident and proactive, and have exceptional negotiation skills and experience that you will utilize in negotiating service provider agreements.
This position requires proven team building skills to establish positive working relationships with a range of branches within the Ministry, community pharmacists, pharmacy regulatory and professional organizations, and other stakeholders. You will have strong analytic skills that will be needed to identify and develop required changes to legislation, regulations, policies, and standards. Using well-developed communication, consultation, and problem-solving skills, you will resolve community pharmacy-related issues, including those related to pharmacy practice and pharmacist professional services. A history of participation on one or more of Saskatchewans regulatory or professional pharmacy bodys working groups or committees is an asset, as is knowledge of the Pharmaceutical Information Program, data sharing agreements, and privacy legislation.
You will have a pharmacy degree, combined with several years of recent experience working as a community pharmacist. You will have managerial experience in pharmacy or other health-related environments. A license with the Saskatchewan College of Pharmacy Professionals is a requirement.
