This position is responsible for entering sales orders, taking orders over the phone, making outbound sales calls as required, following up on customer requests and providing support as needed to the retail sales floor. This position is responsible for answering incoming calls and redirecting calls as needed and taking opportunities to sell products. The target is to ensure excellent service standards, respond efficiently to customer inquiries and maintain high customer satisfaction.
Essential Responsibilities
Must be comfortable talking to customers
Utilize various vendor websites to source products and obtain
expected delivery dates
Responsible for continuous learning of the products available for sale
Responsible for downloading sales orders from the website and obtaining credit card payment information when needed
Responsible for entering faxed, emailed or phoned in orders
Responsible for cancelling orders when needed and ensuring that other departments are advised
Call or email customers to offer alternative products when their ordered product is no longer available
Responsible for issuing customer credits for returned product
Responsible for invoicing orders accurately and processing credit card payments as needed
Identify and assess customers' needs to achieve satisfaction
Build sustainable relationships of trust through open and interactive communication
Go the extra mile to engage customers
Inform customers of deals and promotions
Sell products and services
Provides backup support for the retail counter
Requirements
Previous experience working in a fast paced environment
Proven phone contact handling skills and active listening
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively
Physical requirements
Occasionally required to lift up to 40lbs
There may be longer periods of sitting at a desk and keyboarding
