Responsibilities: The Settlement Support Worker performs all tasks as requested by the Program Manager and collaborates with the Settlement team to plan and implement appropriate client programming. A key component of this job is to assist clients in social, emotional and life skills development, helping to increase levels of independence and empowering people to function fully in the community.

Education & Experience:
Experience working with diverse teams & Service Provider Organizations;
Experience working with vulnerable populations, particularly immigrants and refugees;
Additional language abilities considered an asset - Arabic, Swahili, Somali, Rwandan;
Must have a valid Class 5 Saskatchewan Driver's Licence;
Be able to work independently with little supervision;
Must pass Criminal Record Check Vulnerable Sector Check;
Work with Settlement team to identify health, social, economic, recreational, and educational services in the community that will meet the clients needs;
Maintain liaison with other agencies, professionals, and the community;
Recognizes potential crisis situations, analyzes such situations accurately, helps to develop strategies to deal with such situations, and informs the appropriate Settlement, Counsellor, Team Lead, and Manager.
Assists clients in attending appointments. Provides transportation and/or interpretation when necessary.
Perfom other related duties as required.
