Reporting to the general supervisor, maintenance, you will be responsible for leading a team of trades people in a way that sustainably maximizes the use of our mechanical assets. You will ensure processes are followed, and work with your team to make improvements as opportunities are identified. You will coach and develop a team of problem solvers.
In this role, you will:
- Ensure crew members are working safely and address any safety concerns that are brought to them
- Provide oversight for production and mobile equipment on surface and underground.
- Assist with other discipline supervisors and departments as required to achieve common goals
- Develop the weekly maintenance schedule for their team of trades people
- Play an active role in operational reliability and asset health
- Participate in predictive, preventative and condition-based maintenance
- Manage non-routine maintenance projects
Required:
- Valid Saskatchewan or interprovincial journeyperson certification or a technical diploma in a related discipline
- 10 years of relevant work experience
- Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered
- Strong organizational, problem solving and communication skills
- Work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft
Recommended:
- A Saskatchewan supervisory certificate
- First aid certificate
- Previous working experience using SAP
