The Rural Municipality of Aberdeen No. 373 is currently accepting applications to fill a full-time position of Administrative Assistant. The office is located in the Town of Aberdeen, 20 minutes North East of Saskatoon.
The successful applicant may have various types of experience but must possess strong communication, public relations, and time management skills. Experience with Munisoft software would be an asset. Applicant must be willing to provide a criminal record check upon request.
Job responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Provide reception services to the public in person, over the phone, and electronically.
Manage incoming telephone calls, directing them appropriately, and ensuring accurate message relay
Oversee and organize both manual and electronic filing systems to ensure efficient information management
Perform accurate data entry and maintain detailed records
Monitor and manage requests for custom work requests
Track and update various inventory levels regularly
Prepare and issue receipts, as well as process deposits for bank submission
Assist in the preparation and submission of grant applications
Execute additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned
Preference will be given to candidates who possess the following:
Competency in the use of computers and Microsoft Office Suite apps
One (1) year previous experience in an office environment
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
Ability to recognize and maintain confidential information
Ability to demonstrate appropriate level of professional conduct and judgement.
Valid Class 5 License
Wages based on experience.
