Description

Lake Country Co-op invites applications for the position of Full Time Meat Cutter at our Food Store location in La Ronge, Saskatchewan.

Reporting to the Meat Team Leader, responsibilities for this position include the following:
Demonstrate the behaviors and actions to support Lake Country Co-operatives vision, mission, values, and safety principles to make a difference in members lives, with a strong customer focused approach
Provide Legendary service through various touch point and communication channels
Cut, trim, and prepare various cuts of meat according to customer requests or store requirements
Properly prepare products to Co-op standards, package and label finished products, maintain production records
Maintain cleanliness of workstations, tools, and equipment
Maintain and display all types of meat products according to department standards
Perform other duties as assigned
You have your grade 12 or equivalent experience; Approved Meat Cutting course and or previous retail meat cutting experience especially in the Co-operative Retailing System (CRS) would be considered an asset
You are honest and trustworthy, are results oriented, and strive to be the best in the work that you do
You are well organized, capable of attaining a high level of production, with a minimum amount of supervision
You are familiar with Food Safe procedures and practices
Ability to fulfill physical job requirements; Ability to stand for long periods of time, lift heavy items up to 50 lbs
Work may involve exposure to cold temperatures in refrigeration areas
You believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver solutions that matter most, and you recognize the value that different perspectives bring to meet shared objectives.
You have the ability to work in a fast paced, guest facing environment
You have a flexible work schedule including weekends, evenings and holidays
