The Program Coordinator is an integral member of the Stepping Stones team working together to provide meaningful supports for clients/residents in a flexible, compassionate, and responsible manner.
Qualifications:
Valid Driver's Licence
Criminal record and vulnerable sector check
Mental Health First Aid/willingness to get
Understanding & awareness of Indigenous culture
Good communication skills - Written & Oral
Ability to work independently as well as with a team
Demonstrate a pro-active approach, flexibility, tolerance, perseverance and competence
Post-secondary education i.e. Rehabilitation Worker, Disability Support Worker, partial university or other relevant training and experience in the human services field and/or lived experience in the area of Mental Health/Addiction recovery
Duties & Responsibilities:
Connecting and supporting participants to permanent housing
Provide culturally sensitive programming, case management, counselling and other needed services to clients
Referring clients to budget counselling and supports to build sustainable financial skills
Working with Coordinated Access & Hifis
Connecting clients to community services
Assisting clients with obtaining identification
Developing & coordinating the day program that builds on life skills leading towards independence
Assisting the implementation of Support Plans/Case Management
Providing leadership to staff in all areas with assistance with management
Maintain written and computerized records, compiling reports,
Be available for an On-Call Schedule
