Description

South East Eyecare Ltd. is seeking a self-motivated, team-orientated individual to join our busy optometric practice and dispensary as an optometric/optical assistant.  This is a permanent full-time position working 4 days a week (Tuesday  Friday).  The position would generally be 3 days a week at our main office in Estevan and one day a week (Wednesday) at our satellite clinic in Carnduff (subject to change based on scheduling and staff availability).
  
As an optometric assistant you will be responsible for duties such as scheduling and front desk duties, pretesting patients, contact lens fitting and instruction, and working closely with the optometrist.  As a optical assistant you would be responsible for helping patients with frame and lens selection, adjustments of glasses, submission of insurance claims, and taking payments while working closely with other staff members to ensure patient care.  

You must possess a willingness to learn additional duties and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.  You must possess the ability to work with the public in a courteous and professional manner.  Proficient computer skills are an asset.  South East Eyecare offers a challenging work environment, competitive wages and health benefits.

Education: Grade 12 or post-secondary
Experience: Optometric experience preferred or the ability and interest to learn.
