The Industrial Firefighter / Rescuer is essential during oilfield, shutdown and turnaround activities. Our staff shall focus on the personal safety of any people working on our clients worksite, and shall provide industrial fire, rescue and medical services around the clock during turnaround activities. Example of Essential Duties Staff will be assigned to rescue teams while working for Elite Safety Services, shall be responsible for: - Administering advanced emergency medical care to sick and injured workers, including defibrillation. - Performing Confined Space Rescue tasks. - Performing High Angle Rescue tasks. - Performing Industrial Firefighting tasks. - Acts as a Standby Worker, Bottle Watch or Fire Watch when required, and when not in the capacity of a Rescue Technician. - Completing applicable documentation while on site. - Instructing safety programs as required. Minimum Qualifications - NFPA 1001 or NFPA 1081 - Confined Space Rescue - Technical Rescue - Fall Protection - Radio Communications - Incident Command - Site-specific orientation & Standby Worker course - H2S Alive (if required by the client) *** Any required training needed by staff will be provided by Elite Safety Services prior to work commencing at no cost, prior to work commencing. All staff working for Elite Safety Services will be covered by our General Liability insurance policies and Saskatchewan WCB during assigned work. With the exception of steel toe boots, all Personal Protective Equipment will be provided free of charge. Staff may be required to travel for extended periods.
