Under the general guidance of the Executive Director of Finance and Administration and supervision of the Indigenous Skills, Employment & Training Strategy (ISETS) Coordinator, the Finance Clerk will perform standardized accounting functions within the File Hills Qu'Appelle Tribal Council. In this challenging role, the primary responsibilities will be processing student payroll, data entry, preparing financial reports, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions. Other duties include updating, maintaining and reconciling the Training Administration System (TAS); monitoring client attendance reports; preparing accurate reports for program administration; audit preparation; as well as other accounting and administrative functions. The Finance Clerk will also be responsible for general finance and office administration and other duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications:
*Diploma in Accounting from a recognized institution with a focus on computerized accounting;
*Minimum one-year experience with payroll processing electronic funds transfers. However, a combination of education and experience will also be considered;
*Ability to work independently and meet deadlines;
*Possess strong skills in communication, organization and accuracy;
*Knowledge and experience in a Windows based environment utilizing Word, Excel, and ACCPAC Accounting Software;
