Flying Dust First Nation is looking for a highly energetic and motivated individual, with excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills to fill the full-time permanent position of Executive Assistant. The Executive Assistant will be responsible for a wide variety of administrative duties in support of Chief and Council and well as other senior management staff.
Duties included, but not limited to:
Maintain work schedules & calendars of Chief & Council & senior management staff.
Prepare travel schedules, book travel arrangements, & make reservations for Chief & Council & senior management staff.
Coordinate meetings, seminars, workshops, special projects, & events.
Record, transcribe & distribute minutes of Chief & Council Meetings.
Facilitate communication from department managers, business unit leaders & project managers.
Take & transcribe dictation notes & correspondence requests when needed.
Prepare draft reports, background documentation, & research as requested.
Confidentially review, evaluate, & distribute incoming mail, based on priority for Chief & Council.
Present a positive & professional image of Chief & Council to all visitors, suppliers, inquiries, & other persons.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Three or more years of experience with supervision of employees within the field of office administration.
Certificate/diploma from a recognized institute.
Knowledge of First Nation Culture, Traditions & Language, & must have knowledge & understanding of Flying Dust First Nation.
Intermediate to advanced computer skills & experience with computer software/database applications.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, planning & communication skills; along with being creative, innovative, reliable, & dependable.
Must maintain & support strict confidentiality.
Must have a valid drivers license and be willing to travel, sometimes last minute.
