In this position you are required to travel and work flexible hours, which sometimes may involve evenings. A valid drivers license is required. If you are relocating for this position, there is opportunity for relocation reimbursement with a 2-year Promissory Note/Return Service Commitment
To qualify, you will possess a degree from an accredited university or college; or a minimum two-year diploma, with a focus on the principles of behavioural change and other assessment skills, this would include Correctional Studies, Justice Studies, Community and Justice Services, Social Work or Mental Health; or meet the grandfathering provisions in accordance with Community Corrections qualifications. If your degree was obtained outside of Canada, you must have it assessed against Canadian education standards. You will also be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience in:
- Contributing factors of criminal behaviours;
- Theories and intervention strategies including cognitive behavioural approaches; and,
