The Role
You will be responsible for the day-to-day analysis of laboratory samples by wet chemistry and instrumentation methods.
In this role, you will:
-Participate in quality assurance and quality control activities within the lab operations and assist with corrective and preventative action planning and implementation
-Perform maintenance of analytical equipment in the lab, mill and mine, and provide coverage to the McArthur River satellite lab as needed
Required:
-Chemical technology diploma
-Up to three years of relevant work experience
-Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered
-Working knowledge of chemical laboratory principles and procedures
-Effective organizational and analytical skills
-Solid team player with a willingness to learn
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Demonstrated ability to prioritize and work with minimal supervision
-Positive attitude, diligent, and committed to safe work practices
-Ability to lift and maneuver up to 40 lbs
-Willing to work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft
Recommended:
-Experience with an x-ray fluorescence spectrometer
-Experience with Microsoft Office suite and SAP
