The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for a wide variety of administrative duties in support of the Superintendent of Human Resources. As well as supporting the work in areas such as but not limited to: Human Resource Services and Driver Education
Required Skills & Abilities:
Work as the member of a team
Superior interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written to write and format moderately complex correspondence, including memos, letters, etc.
Excellent time management skills
Ability to deal effectively with a broad range of members of the public, including parents
Ability to understand board governance and structure and the school division environment
Ability to work non-traditional hours when required
Attention to detail
Duties and Responsibilities:
Support the management of all budgets assigned to the Superintendent of Human Resources.
Support work in Human Resource Services and Driver Education
Support the communication with schools, community partners, unions, associations, and outside agencies on behalf of the Superintendent of Human Resources.
Prepare correspondence for meetings which includes but is not limited to, scheduling, preparing packages, and agendas.
Organization of special events and meetings which includes but is not limited to booking facilities, set-up and arranging for refreshments and/or catering.
Support the coordination of Division wide professional development
Other duties as assigned by the Superintendent of Human Resources
