Description

Zak's is looking for either part-time or full-time to fulfill this new role at Zak's Home Hardware Building Centre in Hague.

Position Details
    Create and refine custom designs using graphic design software.
    Operate and maintain engraving machines, including laser, rotary, and other specialized equipment, to engrave designs onto a variety of materials.
    Interpret client specifications and translate them into high-quality engravings, ensuring precision and attention to detail.
    Review and proof designs before engraving, ensuring they meet both client expectations and technical requirements.
    Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
    Collaborate with clients to ensure their design ideas are fully realized, offering design suggestions and technical expertise when needed.
    Perform regular maintenance on engraving machines and ensure they are calibrated and functioning properly.
    Conduct quality control checks on all finished products to ensure they meet company standards and client specifications.
    Troubleshoot any engraving or design issues and resolve them in a timely manner.
    Maintain accurate records of design files, orders, and customer specifications for future reference.
     Ensure a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.

Desired Skills
    Proven experience as a Design and Engraving Specialist or in a similar role, with strong proficiency in operating laser or rotary engraving machines.
    Proficiency in design software
    Strong understanding of engraving techniques and materials (metal, wood, glass, acrylic, etc.).
    Ability to interpret customer artwork and specifications accurately to produce high-quality engravings.
     Excellent attention to detail, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
    Strong time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
    Knowledge of engraving machine setup, operation, and basic maintenance.
