Hours of Work: 37.5 hours/week
Length of Position: Term April 14, 2025, to October 2026
Reporting to the Assistant Director of Community Programs, the Gender-Based Violence Prevention Coordinator (GBV Coordinator) is responsible for the coordination and direct service provision of programs that support children and youth who have experienced gender-based violence. This includes overseeing the Ys Kids program, Run Club, and Connections Recreation Group, as well as co-planning the Power of Being You Conference. The GBV Coordinator ensures the successful delivery of trauma-informed interventions, direct support services, and community outreach efforts to address the needs of children, youth, and caregivers navigating the impacts of violence.
This role requires strong case management, program facilitation, and advocacy skills, as well as the ability to foster meaningful relationships with external partners, schools, and community organizations. They will work collaboratively across the YWCAs Community Programs department and maintain a high standard of service delivery that aligns YWCA Reginas values and policies.
