Description

The Lloydminster Public School Division requires a full-time permanent Facilities Operator in the Facilities Department.  This position will commence on April 28th, 2025.
Key Responsibilities:Perform repairs, maintenance, and operations of building systems (BMS, HVAC, air conditioning, low pressure hot water heating boilers, etc.) in school facilities. Conduct preventative maintenance and repairs on various building systems. Operate and maintain school building systems, making necessary repairs, adjustments, and upgrades. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and Board policies. Provide emergency assistance when needed, including emergency call-outs and securing buildings.
Stay updated on advancements in trade practices, materials, and changes in codes/regulations.
Qualifications:Valid Certification as an HVAC technician or a Journeyman Certification with HVAC knowledge (additional qualifications in Pipe Fitting, Gas Fitting, or related trades are an asset). ABSA and or TSASK 5th class power engineering certification would be an asset.Valid Drivers License. Basic English verbal and written skills for the safe operation of equipment and communication with staff.
Skills & Abilities:Team player with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Strong written and verbal communication abilities.Flexibility to adapt to changing environments and tasks.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding school division operations.Self-directed with a strong initiative to work independently.
Work Environment:4-day work week with 10-hour shifts, offering a work-life balance while meeting the departments needs. Collaborate closely with other maintenance team members, school staff, and administrators to ensure the safety and efficiency of facilities.
