Summary:
The Prevention Finance will be responsible for the financial budgeting, management, and reporting for the Prevention department. With this position comes some Human Resources duties. The Prevention Finance will properly budget and ensure that the program operates in accordance with all regulatory policies. The Prevention Finance will act as a resource for the First Nation and will be responsible for reporting to the Board of Directors on a quarterly basis. Prevention Finance will also provide administrative and guiding support to the governing body regarding best practices, policy, and risk management.
Duties:
Payroll, accounts payable, bank reconciliations, budgeting, financial reporting
Recruitment, employer-employee relations, compliance, training & development
Administrative support to the governing body, best practices, policy, risk management
Coordinating board meetings, minute taking, and proper documentation of meetings
Additional duties as assigned/required of this position
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in business or related discipline, combination of education and experience will be considered
Three (3) years experience in payroll and accounts payable
Experience in governance systems
Experience in human resources an asset
Knowledge of First Nations beliefs, values, language, customs and perspectives
