Responsibilities include:
Support Oranos operational, exploration and regulatory requirements by providing opportunities for meaningful Indigenous and community engagement for projects and advancing current activities
Strengthen relationships with Indigenous employees, leaders, companies and partners, particularly in northern Saskatchewan
Develop and implement an engagement plan aligned with Oranos Public Information Program to support operations and activities
Collaborate with the CSR team to ensure Orano meets and communicates its obligations in the Collaboration Agreements
Regularly visit northern communities to engage in meetings and events, answer questions, and to develop and maintain relationships with Indigenous and community leaders
Engage with Community Liaisons and HR to help find qualified local candidates for employment
Identify, monitor and address emerging issues and concerns from northern and Indigenous communities, in coordination with the CSR and Orano management team
Represent Orano Canada on the ICMM Indigenous Peoples Working Group to stay updated on international standards and practices
Support the Exploration, Supply Chain and Regulatory Relations departments during the planning, regulatory and business contracting aspects of Oranos exploration activities
Collaborate with the Supply Chain Department to develop northern business capacity and promote Orano contracting opportunities to strengthen local relationships
Administer Orano scholarship and targeted training programs, for the advancement of Athabasca Basin and northern students, and prospective employees
Embrace and support Operational Excellence efforts and OE Culture
Comply with all Orano health, safety and environmental policies, practices and procedures
