The Role
Reporting to the sr. coordinator, materials management, you will be responsible for the daily coordination and operation of the warehouse facilities on your shift to meet site requirements for materials receipt, storage, handling, inventory, and retrieval.
In this role, you will:
-Work closely with maintenance, planning, engineering, purchasing, and operations to optimize the warehouse operations to meet Cigar Lakes needs
-Provide supervisory and technical direction to warehouse personnel, ensuring that all safety, regulatory, and environmental requirements are met
-Work with internal and external stakeholders on an ongoing basis to optimize warehouse operations
-Identify and develop opportunities for continual improvement
Required:
-Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
-A minimum of eight years of warehousing experience in a mining or industrial environment
-Equivalent combination of education and work experience will be considered
-Previous supervisory experience
-Valid Class 5 drivers license
-Advanced computer skills, with an emphasis on Microsoft Office and SAP platforms
-Ability to gain Saskatchewan supervisory certification
-Knowledge of inventory and maintenance managements systems
-Work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft
Recommended:
-WHMIS
-Specific knowledge of SAP
-Knowledge of mining and OH&S regulations
-Waste dangerous goods and hazardous substance training
-Experience using software and mobile technology to conduct warehouse activity
-Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
