What Does a Shipper/Receiver Do?
Manages the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies.
You anticipate product requirements for a variety of projects and coordinate the movement of materials through various departments. You ensure production runs smoothly by:
Understanding and complying with all Company Quality/Safety policies, procedures and rules and carrying out all activities including the operation of any machinery in a safe, responsible manner.
Coordinating with suppliers to ensure parts and material are available, and on time, with a focus on maintaining schedules and inventory.
Expediting and ensuring availability of material and parts in accordance with production schedules and commitments, alerting management of possible and actual shortages and other potential problems.
Adhering to the non-disclosure agreement.
What Qualifications Do We Look For?
1.A High School Diploma and 2 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, production and/or material transportation.
2.Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks.
3.Excellent problem-solving ability with strong attention to detail.
4.Holds at TDG certificate considered an asset.
5.12 years experience with international shipping requirements considered an asset.
6.Lean manufacturing experienceconsidered an asset.
7.Valid Forklift certificationconsidered an asset.
8.Responsible for tariff and harmonized system codes (HS)
9.Familiarity with production software such as ERP or MRP systems is an asset.
10.Current WHIMIS certificate.
