Description

The SMA Education Outreach Program connects students and educators in the K-12 system to Saskatchewans mineral resources, exploring the role minerals play in the world around us. We are looking for an enthusiastic and talented team member to assist in developing resources and events to inspire the next generation of students to find their future in the many diverse careers offered by the mineral sector.  You will: Lead presentations and educational activities with other SMA Staff and community partners. Assist with the development of written materials, infographics, digital media, and other communications using tools such as Canva. Assist with the planning and implementation of various SMA events and programs. Assist in general SMA office and Education Outreach related projects and activities. Minor travel with other staff may be required and may offer the opportunity to tour mine operations. What youll bring: Experience with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and general knowledge of office procedures. Ability to effectively communicate in presentations, group settings, and to varied audiences in a professional, friendly and respectful manner. Able to work independently, with demonstrated organizational skills and carry items such as file boxes up and down stairs. Be a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act; and. Be legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial/territorial legislation and regulations. Have a valid drivers licence and access to a vehicle.
