The Yorkton Tribal Council Child and Family Services (YTCCFS) Inc. is seeking an Intake Courtesy Service Worker. Reporting to the Area Program Manager, the Intake Courtesy Service Worker will respond to all requests for Courtesy Services from the Ministry of Social Services, including requests from the Inter-provincial desk or other Child and Family Services organizations. The Intake Courtesy Services Worker will attend to all Courtesy Services requests for the 14 Member Nations and will complete all documentation pertaining to the Courtesy Service request as per policy timelines.
Qualifications:
Knowledge of the FSIN Indian Child and Family Support Act and Saskatchewan Child Welfare Act is a definite asset.
Knowledge of the Cree, Nakota and Saulteaux Culture and the political and social objectives of the YTCCFS Inc. member First Nations.
The Intake Courtesy Services Worker is responsible for:
Collaborating with the Intake Program Assistant, establish files specific to Courtesy Services Requests.
Updating the client case files with new information.
Responding to assigned Courtesy Service requests and submitting documentation resulting from the courtesy services request to the Director of Protection Services.
Completing and submitting Place of Safety packages, home safety checks, Affidavits of Personal Services when requested.
Other duties include but are not limited too contact notes describing the purpose of the contact, Face-to-Face standard, welfare check, or details with respect to the requested contact.
Filing of documents, letters, and forms as required.
Must provide a current criminal record check and submit to Abuse Registry screening.
Must sign an Oath of Confidentiality and a Non-Disclosure Agreement.
Access to a reliable vehicle.
Able to work some evenings and weekends.
