Job Summary:
We are looking for a reliable and self-motivated individual to join our team as a Maintenance Person for the WCETC & Headstart and Daycare facilities.  This position is perfect for someone who enjoys maintaining clean and safe environments. You will be responsible for general maintenance, and upkeep of facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform routine repairs on equipment, plumbing, electrical systems,
  and building structures.
* Conduct inspections and maintenance to prevent potential issues
  before they arise
* Respond to urgent maintenance issues such as leaks, power outages,
  or heating/cooling failures
* Report any major facility concerns to management and coordinate with
  external contractors when necessary
* Maintain outdoor areas, including mowing lawns, shoveling snow, and
  ensuring pathways are safe and clear.
* Repair and maintain playground structures, fences, and gates.
* Regularly inspect the daycare facility for safety hazards and take
  immediate action to correct them.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, fire codes,
  and childcare licensing requirements.
* test and maintain fire alarms, emergency lighting, and other safety
equipment.
* Secure and safely store all maintenance tools, chemicals, and  
  cleaning supplies out of children's reach.

Qualifications:
* Grade 12 or equivalent
* Previous custodial or maintenance experience is preferred.
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
* Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
* Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
* Reliable and able to work on short notice.

Work Schedule:
* Flexible, based on the needs of the facility. As agreed, upon by the
  Headstart/ Daycare Coordinator and Director of Education.
* Must be available for evening or weekend shifts when required.
