Electrician Apprentices - All Levels


Overview

The Saskatchewan Research Councils (SRC) Rare Earth Element (REE) Division has career opportunities for Electrician Apprentices of all levels to support the construction, commissioning, and operations for SRCs Rare Earth Processing Facility.

Accountabilities

Assist with the installation of cable trays, electrical switch gears, PLC cabinets, junction boxes and various electrical equipment, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance of electrical systems and equipment for the Rare Earth Processing Facility
Assist in cable pulling and strapping, motor terminations and device terminations
Participate in calibrating and testing electrical systems and equipment
Learn to read and interpret drawings, schematics and electrical code specifications to determine layout of electrical equipment installations
Qualifications

Registration with the Saskatchewan Apprenticeship and Trades Certification Commission (SATCC) is required prior to commencing employment
Mobile Elevating Work Platform (MEWP) certificate is an asset
All levels are encouraged to apply
Valid Class 5 drivers licence

Skills
Team player with effective interpersonal and communication skills
Confident using Microsoft Office applications, digital communications and reading digital drawings
Heavy lifting may be required
All training required for the position will be provided as needed
