The Ministry of Highways is seeking a highly-motivated individual with excellent interpersonal and leadership skills to join the Operation Standards Branch located in Saskatoon, Regina or Prince Albert, for up to a 16-month term. The Senior Project Manager will be part of the Asset Management team that serves a wide range of stakeholders.
As the Senior Project Manager, you will support and act on behalf of your Director at internal and external stakeholder meetings to determine provincial interests on long-term infrastructure goals and objectives including managing maintenance standards, salt management plan as well as complete inquiries and studies to effectively manage the overall long-term transportation system in Saskatchewan.
The ideal candidate will bring creative and innovative solutions to complex issues. The Senior Project Manager will apply professional engineering concepts, principles, practices and standards used in the planning ,design, construction and maintenance of the provincial highways to ensure effective preservation of Ministry's assets and develop preservation programs using best practices and asset management principles.
To qualify for this position, you will possess a degree in Engineering (preferred civil) from an accredited university and have a minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience. The successful candidate must be registered, or eligible for registration, as a Professional Engineer or Engineering Licensee with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS). The Engineering Licensee must have a minimum of 10-15 years of experience related to highway surface preservation, road maintenance, standards development, data management/quality control and management of highway assets.
