Reporting to the Plant Manager the Maintenance Supervisor will ensure that the overall health of the plant stays healthy, on budget, and compliant to regulatory standards through the excellent management of the maintenance staff, preventive maintenance programs, part and supplies inventory, and the completion of maintenance tasks on a timely basis and on target.
Plant Preventive Maintenance Program.
Establishes and maintains a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for inventory equipment, tracking work orders, and maintenance history of the plant equipment.
Continuously monitors the operation of plant equipment and systems.
Reviews the operation of plant equipment and systems.
Purchasing, Inventory Management and Budgeting.
Utilize the computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to manage parts inventory, spending, and work orders.
Tracks, analyzes and improves key maintenance parameters such as asset utilization, maintenance cost, PM compliance, schedule compliance, etc.
Initiates and carries out projects that improve efficiency and/or reduce operating costs.
Regulatory Standards, Safety and Compliance.
Ensures occupational health/safety, environmental policies and procedures are followed by the staff.
Ensures city, county, state, and federal regulations relating to the maintenance department are met at all times.
Directs, maintains, and enforces the safety program for the maintenance department.
Requirements
Holds an Electrical or Millwright ticket.
+5 or more years of experience in a Maintenance role.
+5 years of supervisory experience.
Food or meat processing Industry experience appreciated.
Degree or equivalent in mechanical Engineering appreciated.
Great interpersonal skills and a great leader.
Organized and ability to adhere to deadlines.
Excellent Microsoft office skills (in particular: Excel, PowerPoint).
