Express Employment is currently seeking qualified & innovative candidates for consideration for a Grain Cleaning Plant Manager role with a client of ours located in the rural Southern Saskatchewan area! The ideal candidate would possess a background working in the agricultural or grain specific industry and preferably, experience directly overseeing or managing operations in a grain processing facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day plant operations, leading a dedicated team, ensuring product quality and overseeing the plants equipment maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations Management: Oversee daily plant operations, including product intake, cleaning, and shipping processes. Experience in handling a bagger is an asset.
Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and develop plant staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and safety.
Quality Control: Ensure all products meets quality standards and complies with industry regulations.
Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure all machinery operates efficiently and downtime is minimized.
Safety Compliance: Implement and enforce workplace safety protocols and regulatory compliance measures.
Production Planning: Develop and execute production schedules to meet customer demands.
Budget Management: Monitor operational costs and manage budgets effectively.
Reporting: Prepare and present operational reports to senior management.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors degree in Agriculture, Engineering, Business Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a plant management role, preferably in the agricultural or grain industry.
Technical Skills: Strong understanding of grain cleaning equipment, processes, and quality control standards.
