Bourgault Industries is looking for an Accountant to join our Finance team in St. Brieux. The successful candidate will perform accountant duties and provide financial related information/ services to all departments and entities within Bourgault Industries.

Responsibilities:
-Prepare and complete period end, month end and year end reporting and audits as required
-Maintain the general ledger, prepare financial statements, research and interpret data, as well as address financial and accounting related questions including, but not limited to corporate insurance, standard costing, etc.
-Contribute to the implementation of the operating budget and performance projections
-Maintain quality control and apply specialized knowledge to anticipate, identify and address issues relevant to the financial entries and reports
-Plan, recommend change, or implement new  policies and procedures to the finance department
-Generate accurate reports to management while adhering to established deadlines

Qualifications:
-5+ years of direct accounting experience
-Business degree with a major in accounting or finance. Applicants with a combination of an accounting diploma and experience will be considered
-Accounting designation is considered an asset

-Effective communication and teamwork skills
able to work in a past-paced environment
-Able to perform accurate work with a high attention to detail
-Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Excel  
-Knowledge and understanding of a manufacturing environment is considered an asset
