The IT Technical Analyst works directly with the Assistant Technical Services Manager to monitor & maintain enterprise direction regarding Branch system functionality and services. They will assist with design solutions based on needs expressed by internal & external users, Branch management, and other stakeholders. They will ensure any points of interconnection to the 911 emergency response system are maintained according to public safety standards.
Qualifications
-A Diploma or Certification in the Information Technology field with minimum 5 years practical experience supporting enterprise IT systems, or an equivalent combination of education and experience obtained in another suitable manner.
-Experience with AD, DNS, DHCP, physical/virtual server & storage technologies
-Class 5 Drivers License
-Knowledge of the public safety system an asset.
-Experience with MPLS & VPLS an asset
Technical
-Demonstrated thorough knowledge of current Information Technology best practices & their relationship to Public Safety functions.
-Maintain software and hardware updates for the various PCs, servers, printers, etc.
-Repair PC, server and printer hardware.
-Troubleshoot and resolve desktop software/hardware issues & resolve Intergraph CAD related issues.
-Ensure that the systems onsite are up to date for antivirus, software patches, application updates & firmware fixes
-Help assess current technological trends & determine organization/agency needs in order to lead the ongoing introduction of new technology and processes; and provide local technical support and expertise when needed
Operational
-Assist in the support & maintenance of computing systems and infrastructure technologies, ensuring that current policies in place match operational guidelines.
-Ensure operational readiness of all systems and services
-Participate in the after-hours on call rotation.
