As a member of an interdisciplinary team of the department, the incumbent will be responsible for day to day development, implementation and delivery of the IRS program. The incumbent will perform case management, along with community/program education and development, in order to provide professional and holistic support for survivors and individuals affected by the residential school system. Regular reporting to the department coordinator will be a component of this position that must be adhered to, and in accordance with the Saskatchewan Association of Registered Social Workers.
Minimum of two to five years experience in working with individuals, groups and families affected by residential schools and inter-generational trauma;
Experience in providing and facilitating information sessions within First Nations communities;
Experience using a holistic approach to wellness.
Excellent interpersonal skills to create and maintain relationship with community partners;
Ability to handle stressful situations in a professional manner;
Knowledge of community, outpatient and inpatient service delivery systems;
Culturally competent practices.
