Applications are invited for the position of Learning Assistance Teacher at a variety of schools within Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools. Applications are welcome for full time, continuing positions, commencing the start of the 2025/2026 school year.
Learning Assistance Teachers (LATs) work collaboratively with school teams to support diverse learning needs. The school team, in response to data and student needs, determines the support provided by the LAT. The LAT provides both direct and indirect support for students in the areas of instruction, assessment, programming and planning.
Successful candidates will:
Hold a Professional A Saskatchewan Teaching Certificate
Be committed to supporting and integrating Catholic virtues into their teaching and classroom environment
Possess or be in the process of obtaining a Masters in Special Education or a Post-degree Certificate in Special Education
Have classroom teaching experience
Exhibit a strong understanding of response to intervention
Provide evidence of using data to respond to student needs
Demonstrate strong collaborative skills
