Responsible for directing the day-to-day activities of the Peepeekisis Cree Nation Public Works and Community Infrastructure department;Ensure that a team Approach to delivering effective and efficient programs and services is implemented; Provide functional direction and supervision to all program staff which includes the Water Treatment Plant operators, Landfill and Garbage pickup, Water haulers, heavy equipment operators, Maintenance personnel, contractors, all term employees hired from time to time;Ensure that all programs and services are delivered in an effective and efficient manner;Provide written and oral reports to the Chief Administrative Officer;Develop and implement various proposals and reports related to Public works and Community Infrastructure;Promote cooperation and teamwork between: All Staff; INAC; FHQ and other departmental personnel Site servicing such as: power and energy, sewer and water installation for all community buildings/infrastructure which shall also include all new and existing housing projects,: Diploma in Administration and related experience in Housing;Experience developing, managing capital and operational budgets;Superior leadership, organizational, interpersonal relations, Excellent written and oral communication skills;Excellent working knowledge of various software programs (Gmail, Microsoft word, excel, on-line meeting platforms etc.);Knowledge and commitment to the philosophy, goals and objective of the Peepeekisis Cree Nation;Understanding and appreciation of First Nations culture and traditions;Knowledge of current issues relating to Public Works and Community Infrastructure;External relationships include FHQTC INAC;
Extensive knowledge of federal, provincial and municipal government services and programs that are available to First Nations;Valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Drivers and a clean drivers abstract
