Description

RIWC is a funded organization that provides settlement services to new immigrant, refugee women and their families in Regina. We are seeking a skilled Budget Manager with extensive non-profit experience in accounting.

DUTIES
Manage RIWC's accounting, payroll, monitoring and reporting systems;
Oversee NPO budgeting and forecasting for RIWC for the whole year;
Prepare statistical, financial, and accounting reports for funders and the ED by set deadlines;
Supervise month-end closing and post journal entries and reconcile accounts, prepare trial balance of books and maintain general ledgers;
Monitor the Workers Compensations online submission and forms;
Track RIWCs financial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement;
Prepare documents for year-end closings and submit to the auditor for audit; or CFO
Prepare and manage budgets for new and continuing projects;
Provide and interpret financial information to the Staff;
Manage all RIWC's Credit cards transactions for the organisations cardholders;
Supervise all the Staff benefits, consult with management about benefit options and direct processing of benefit claims;
Manage allocated budget of the unit including overseeing planning, scheduling and execution.

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, or Administration, with a specialization in non-profit accounting.
A minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience in medium to large non-profit organizations.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and QuickBooks
Strong understanding of non-profit budgeting, and funding compliance.
