EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY  STUDENT SERVICES TEACHER
Maternity Leave (March 15, 2025  March 31, 2026)
Kisikohk School at Witchekan Lake First Nation is currently accepting applications for a STUDENT
SERVICES TEACHER to fill a maternity leave. Kisikohk School is a K4 to Grade 8 school, with approximately 75 students. The school is operated on the Witchekan Lake First Nation, located about 25 km north of Spiritwood, SK.

Responsible to the Principal, the SST will perform the following duties and responsibilities:
      Work as part of a team to set learning goals, create individualized education plans, assess and document progress, plan and prepare appropriate activities that align with learning needs
      Update staff, administration and parents on the progress of their students and enlist support with behavior control and home activities designed to supplement classroom lessons;
      Develop academic and social/life skills programming for students with special needs in a flexible and supportive learning environment;
      Assist in the preparation of lesson plans and conducting and interpreting appropriate assessments for students with additional learning needs;
      Communicate and effectively report to the Education Program Manager, Principal, staff, and parents of students, as well as federal reporting organizations;
      Mentor, supervise and train classroom teachers and education assistants to implement best practice in classroom management and learning adaptations for students with special needs;
      Participate in meetings, staff supervision, extra-curricular and community events
      Promote and maintain high standards of behaviour, respect and safety within the program
      Support families with open, ongoing communication
      As part of the school team, maintain good order and general discipline at the school;
      Cooperate with provided supports and undertake initiative in activities intended to enhance professional growth
