The Student, IT reports to the Manager of IT and Technical Analysts at the Bethune site. This position provides the opportunity to be exposed to the full scope of our IT processes and infrastructure including troubleshooting, deployment of services and additional administrative tasks as needed.
The successful candidate will:
-Assist with preparation of new IT hardware (SCCM imaging and software deployment).
-Set up of new user profiles, support with onboarding activities, and initial user training.
-Troubleshoot hardware, software and network operating system incidents and problems.
-Provide customer support of client PCs and applications and administrate hardware/software asset management.
-Provide support to Manager, IT and other IT staff as assigned.

-Currently enrolled in post-secondary studies with a focus in information technology at an accredited university or technical school.
-Returning to full time studies in the fall.

-Authorized to legally work in Canada.
-Valid Class 5 Drivers license for Canada is required.
Employment is subject to successfully completing KSPC's pre-employment checks which may include criminal record check, education verification, functional fitness evaluation and drug & alcohol testing.
This position is for a 4-month term, May - August 2025, and is based at the Bethune mine site.
