Description

At Diversified Electric and Rentals, we are proud to be a family owned and operated business serving the community for 20+ years.  We supply construction rental tools and equipment to a diverse number of construction fields.
We at Diversified Electric and Rentals are seeking a highly motivated Journeyperson Mechanic. With a combination of self directed as well as supervisor directed workload, the successful applicant will maintain, repair, and modify heavy duty equipment, aerial work platforms, small engine, and other equipment used in industrial, commercial, and residential construction.

Our work week consists of Monday through Friday. No weekend work. Overtime available during peak seasons.
In this position, you will:
- Conduct preventative maintenance inspections to all types of construction and maintenance equipment with services performed primarily in the shop;
- Diagnose equipment problems using mechanical and electrical test equipment; determine method of repair and cost/time associated with the repair;
- Repair equipment including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems by replacing, or fabricating parts and components;
- Perform equipment maintenance such as fluid/filter changes, hydraulic hose replacement, etc.;
- Enter and retrieve data on a computer;
- Source and contact vendors for equipment parts and information;
- Train and supervise apprentices; and
- Maintain detailed records of repairs and maintenance performed; Assist in maintaining inventory of parts and supplies.
To qualify for this position, you must possess a valid Journeyperson Certificate recognized by the Province of Saskatchewan and a valid Class 5 drivers licence at minimum.
Successful applicant will be required to provide a Criminal Record Check as well as a drivers abstract.
