The Ministry of Corrections, Policing and Public Safety is seeking a Research and Training Officer to assess and deliver contemporary training components within the Saskatchewan Marshals Service.
Reporting to the Director, Administration and Governance, this position is responsible for developing short- and long-term training strategies that could affect cost savings to the SMS while building training capacity internally and externally. This position is responsible for identifying inefficient training processes and implementing opportunities for integration and expansion to meet the needs of the ministry and the expectations of Saskatchewan residents.
Typically, the knowledge and experience required for this position is obtained through: a Bachelors degree in adult education, supplemented by police college studies; or a diploma in law enforcement, supplemented by a comprehensive understanding of adult educational principles, processes and strategies. Police experience would be considered an asset.
