Under the direction of the Program Coordinator, perform tasks related to the operation of the campground. This includes duties related to processing bookings, maintaining the grounds, campsites, buildings and equipment. This is a full time, seasonal summer student position.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Demonstrate professionalism and provide exemplary customer service in every interaction with campers, visitors, staff, vocational participants and others.
- Adhere to established safe working practices and procedures, wear the proper safety equipment at all times, taking proper care of tools, equipment and buildings.
- Performing office administration duties, which includes but not limited to managing phones, bookings/check ins & outs/cancellations, addressing campers who are not booked/unpaid/squatters, record keeping, reporting, cleaning and other duties as assigned.
- Perform daily janitorial and sanitation tasks of the buildings and grounds.
- Perform groundskeeping duties which requires operating riding/zero/push mowers and string trimmers, watering flowers and other duties as assigned.
- Ensuring supplies of firewood (cut, bundle) and distribution.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Summer student (age 15-30), returning to school in the fall.
- Valid Class 5 drivers license.
- Knowledge of operation and use of groundskeeping equipment.
- Comfortable performing janitorial and sanitation duties.
- Ability to demonstrate a strong work ethic, work effectively as part of a team and independently, strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to demonstrate decision making skills, problem solving and conflict resolution skills; deal tactfully with the public.
