The suitable candidate will be able to perform the following duties:
- use appropriate teaching aides and techniques, in order to meet basic Saskatchewan curriculum standards;
- use a variety of instructional strategies to meet individual needs of students;
- attend staff/community/school committee/parent-teacher meetings and in-service workshops to develop a greater understanding of community aspirations and improvement of personal teaching competencies;
- participate in operation of the school extracurricular program;
- other work-related duties as assigned.
The suitable candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor of Education and a Saskatchewan Professional A teaching certificate
- Excellent classroom management skills
- Ability to teach students of varying abilities
- Cross-curricular experience is an asset
- Experience in Fountas & Pinnell Literacy (Leveled Literacy Intervention), Pearson Developmental Reading Assessments (DRA), Mathletics, Nelson Literacy will be considered an asset. Differentiation experience and technology experience and knowledge (i.e. Google Classroom) required.
