Description

The Rural Municipality of Francis No. 127 is now accepting applications for a Seasonal Equipment Operator for the Road Maintenance Crew.   This position has the potential for full- time employment.
Skills and abilities
Have a Class 1A Drivers License
Ability to operate the following municipal equipment for road repair or willingness to learn (tractor, mower, grader, semi, track-hoe, end dump/belly dump, skid steer etc.)
Have a general knowledge of servicing and maintaining various equipment
Have a working knowledge of road building and maintenance or the willingness to learn
Have WHIMIS and Powered Mobile Equipment (PME) certificates or willing to achieve
Ability to take initiative and work with minimal supervision
Demonstrates a positive and collaborative approach to teamwork with a strong adherence and high regard for safety

Duties may include but not limited to:
Operating various pieces of equipment and assisting in road repairs or construction, installing culverts, mowing ditches, erecting signs, trucking clay or gravel and any other tasks assigned by the Foreman with the direction of Council.

A Current drivers abstract may be required for those selected for an interview.  The Council appreciates all applications, but only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
