The Jordan's Principle Intake Officer is responsible for managing the initial intake process for children and families seeking support under Jordan's Principle. This role involves assessing eligibility, collecting necessary documentation and providing information and referrals to appropriate services. The Intake Officer plays a critical role in ensuring that First Nation children receive timely and effective support. The Jordan Principle Intake Officer will work closely with the Jordan Principle Manager and other team members to ensure a coordinated approach to service delivery.
Must understand the Indigenous ways of knowing, that interconnects with the 4 aspects of life, through the cultural, traditional and land-based teachings. Have the ability to build positive relationships with clients, internal and external resources, team members and administration. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and collaborative working relationships with coworkers and community members at all levels to achieve common goals in healthy child parenting, recognizing child abuse, neglect and familiarizing community members with community initiatives and community-based programming. Must have dedicated team building skills and a positive professional work ethic and demonstrated ability to be a positive role model.
