Description

The Ministry of Parks, Culture and Sport is currently seeking a dynamic and highly motivated individual who is a flexible team player for the position of Park Maintenance Worker for provincial park lands within Good Spirit Lake Provincial Park of Saskatchewan Parks Service.  Reporting to the Resource Maintenance Supervisor, this position will be involved in the maintenance program.

The successful candidate will have a Certified Class II Water Distribution and Water Treatment certificate.  Consideration may be given to operators who are currently enrolled in Class II Water certification, have completed one of the above training/distribution or treatment and are working towards completing the other.  

As a Park Maintenance Worker, you will:
- Be responsible for the operation of class II potable water treatment facility and class I wastewater      treatment systems
- Operate and maintain light and heavy equipment as required (skid steer, pay loader, tractors, lawn mowers and attachments)
- Assigned responsibility for checking and verifying the accuracy of work of others within the Ministry (other water system operators, labour service and or summer student employees, volunteers, contractors, ect.) performing park maintenance duties.
- Responsible for checking and or completing a wide variety of administrative forms including time certificates, S4's, benefit/compensation claims, and purchasing maintenance supplies and small equipment and tools.
- Coach and mentor, provide training and work planning to seasonal workers and/or students working in the water plant and park operations.
- Comply with Ministry standard operating procedures and Saskatchewan Occupational Health and Safety Regulations; and more!

Candidate must possess a current valid Drivers License.
