Job Duties:
Primary duties include applying herbicide, performing weed inspections, completing in the field documentation using a variety of technology, in-field ticketing, & online software solutions. A work crew is normally comprised of 1 or 2 employees per truck utilizing the most advanced truck mounted equipment in the industry both locally as well as on the road. Other equipment used may include UTV's, Argos, Tracked units, Hagglunds and tractors.

* CSTS2020 (Paid for by West Country)
All other training and certification will be provided by West Country. Employees can expect training in such areas as herbicide applications, off-road UTV safety, T.D.G., map reading/GPS, W.H.M.I.S and oilfield/powerline safety.
Compensation:
Competitive starting wages with considerable overtime available. If you have experience in herbicide application or in the vegetation control industry wage offers will reflect this. This position will involve long days which often amount to maximum of 12 hours per day. Overtime is paid at 1.5 times the regular rate, paid after 8 hours/day or 44 hours/week. West Country will pay you while taking our certification course to get a Certified Applicator License. This position will involve working both locally and on the road. When there is any "overnight" work on the road daily subsistence pay and lodging is supplied by the company.
