Description

The Town of Milestone is looking for a Public Works Laborer to join our dedicated team! This role offers an excellent opportunity for growth and skill development.

Position: Public Works Laborer
Hours: 30-40 hours per week (there will be weekends as well)
Compensation: Competitive Wages dependent on experience and skills
Benefits: Pension plan, sick time, and other benefits

Duties Include:
- Conducting daily checks of waterworks and lift station
- Performing routine maintenance of buildings, facilities, and equipment
- Cutting grass and clearing snow
- Assisting in repairing water breaks and equipment, and reading water meters
- Ensuring traffic signs are visible by trimming/cutting necessary foliage
- Performing other duties as assigned by the Foreman

Qualifications:
- Self-motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision
- Strong team player with good customer service and conflict management skills
- Possession of a valid Saskatchewan Drivers License
- Grade Twelve or a GED
- Experience with maintenance equipment or a willingness to learn

Responsibilities:
- Maintaining roads, green spaces, and other areas
- Submitting logs and checklists monthly
- Keeping the shop and compound clean
- Taking water samples to the post office
