**THIS POSITION REQUIRES NIGHT SHIFTS.**
The baker reports to the chef and prepares enough bakery goods (including sugar free products) for normal daily operation. Assistance with Breakfast operations is required during break coverages. Other duties include:
- Providing a list ingredient requirement to the chef for ordering.
- Completing special client function orders (ex. Cake decorating, cookie platters).
- Production of individual desserts, as per daily requirements.
- Deep cleaning bakery equipment regularly and/or as needed, including ovens.
- Perform all duties in a safe manner and report all incidents.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Previous Kitchen Experience is essential.
- Previous supervisory experience in a kitchen is a strong asset.
- Possession of Food Safe Certification considered an asset.
- Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision.
- Ability to establish & maintain effective working relationships.
- Ability to perform duties in a safe & efficient manner.
- Physical ability to perform the assigned duties.
- Knowledge of safety procedures associated with working with hazardous products, including knowledge of WHIMIS.
Things to Consider:
- Require night shift work at a remote site, on 2-week in-and-out rotations.
- You must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test.
- You must be a team player, who works well with others.
