Description

North Ridge Development Corporation, Saskatchewans leading home builder, is seeking a full-time Architectural Technologist to join our Regina team.  

Our Drafting & Estimating Department is looking for an Architectural Technologist with ambition to take projects from design conception to construction stage.

Responsibilities:
Using AutoCad and/or Revit, develop preliminary designs and prepare construction drawings for residential projects which follow the National Building Code of Canada and local municipal bylaws & regulations.
Apply for and obtain associated Building Permits.
Coordination (organization, distribution, and maintenance) of Tender Process for associated projects.
Actively mitigate potential risks during design conception, project tender and construction.
Daily communication with members of sales, construction, and drafting departments.
Daily communication with subtrades and suppliers.
Resolve problems/issues in an effective and timely manner, always keeping the customer in mind.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years experience in the residential construction industry.
Architectural Technologist Diploma or equivalent experience.
Proficient in AutoCad and/or Revit, and Microsoft Office.
Working knowledge of the National Building Code of Canada and local municipal bylaws & regulations.
Thorough understanding of residential design and construction.
Sound knowledge of permit and final working drawings.
Strong computer and technology skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organization and multi-tasking skills.
Detail-oriented focus.
Must be a resident of Saskatchewan and be legally able to work in Canada.
