Description

The Corporate Service Division of the City of Swift Current is looking for a qualified Manager of Revenue & Collections to join our team of professionals to contribute to the overall goals of the organization through a depth of understanding in all aspects of account billing and payment collection, as well as the vital role revenue and collections plays in the operation of the City of Swift Current.

Reporting to the Director of Financial Services, the Manager of Revenue & Collections is responsible for the coordination of duties and supervising a staff of five (5) employees who perform the billing of corporate accounts receivable, including, but not limited to property tax and utility billing, as well as daily payment processing and application to outstanding accounts.

This position is responsible for levying taxes, generating utility bills, collections and enforcement, property sales, and local improvement functions. This position also works closely with the public, as well as other City divisions and departments to ensure the accuracy of revenue and collections within the Citys financial system.

This is a permanent, full-time position.

Essential Minimum Qualifications include:

Education, Designations and Certifications:
    Diploma in accounting, finance or business from a recognized post-secondary institution is preferred.
    A combination of education and experience may be considered.
    Ability to become Safe Places  Community Certified, which includes the completion of the Respect in the Workplace online training and a Criminal Record Check.
